Taste-In, Taster Vincent Gasnier
Since becoming an award winning sommelier, and the youngest ever Master Sommelier, more than a decade ago, Vincent has moved into wine writing, wine consultancy and wine judging. In addition, he has hosted numerous corporate and private wine events and has also made many appearances on TV talking about his greatest passion.
As well as writing for several magazines, Vincent is also the author of three books. His latest book, ‘How to Choose Wine’ was voted runner-up as the best wine book in the world at the 2008 World Gourmand Awards.
His corporate clients include Soho House, The Houses of Parliament, HRH Prince of Wales Charity Polo Challenge and several Premiership football clubs. Vincent’s private clients also include a number of high-profile media personalities, business people and sportsmen.
In addition, Vincent acts as a wine judge for Decanter World Wine Awards, The International Wine Challenge and the Master Sommelier Examination. His humorous, knowledgeable and approachable presentation style has also gone down very well on TV. In the last few years Vincent has featured on numerous shows on ITV, BBC and Channel 5.
Although unmistakably French, Vincent’s passion for great wines knows no national boundaries. For instance, he was one of the first Master Sommeliers to promote New World wines in France. Vincent has an English family and lives in Hampshire.
