Anthony Rose is the wine correspondent of the Independent, for which he writes a weekly column as well as various travel-related articles. He also contributes to specialist wine press including Decanter, Wine & Spirit and the World of Fine Wine.
During his career, Anthony has contributed to a number of wine books including ‘The Oxford Companion to Wine’ and ‘Wine Report’ and for five years he co-authored, with Tim Atkin, the annual consumer guide ‘Grapevine’.
He has won several awards for his wine writing including, most recently, the Glenfiddich Wine Writer of the Year Award 2005, the Prix de Lanson Black Label Award 2000 and the Prix de Lanson Champagne Writer of the Year 2002. Anthony continues to travel both as the Independent wine correspondent and as a wine competition judge. He has judged wines in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, California, France, Japan and the UK. Anthony also teaches the Leiths School of Food & Wine Certificate course.
